Geistlich UK Webinar Series: ‘An evidence based approach to sinus augmentation’ 3rd October, 7pm UK.

Join Dr Stephen Barter's evidence based review in respect to sinus augmentation.

The first sinus floor elevation (SFE) procedure was reported in 1974. Since then, many different approaches have been suggested to address reduced bone volume for implant placement in the posterior maxilla.

All have “evidence” to support their use, but evaluating this evidence is often reported to be difficult due to considerable heterogeneity across different studies.

This webinar aims to take a slightly different look, examining facts from different areas of research, to suggest a practical approach to selecting materials and methods that may give the most predictable outcome for the patient, whilst highlighting the risks.

The learning aims for this webinar are:

  • To be aware of the advantages and limitations of common approaches to Sinus Floor Elevation
  • Understand the associated risks and benefits to patients
  • Select an appropriate approach to different clinical situations
  • Effectively communicate these matters to the patient

This webinar qualifies for 1 hour CPD accreditation.
